Kosar University Faculty Member Among World's Top 1% of Researchers

According to a report issued by the Public Relations Office of Kosar University, and citing the Office of Academic and Research Affairs, the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC) has recently released its latest list of Iranian researchers ranked among the world’s top 1% most cited scholars. This ranking, based on data from the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) database, categorizes highly cited researchers across 22 subject areas, presented in six distinct lists.

The report indicates that 1,056 Iranian researchers were recognized as being among the global top 1% most cited in 2023. Notably, Dr.Emran Tohidi, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Koohsar University, is among these distinguished scholars.

It is worth noting that the ESI database publishes its lists of highly cited researchers on a bimonthly basis, covering a 10-year citation window. Compared to the previous Iranian calendar year (1402), the number of Iranian researchers included in this prestigious list has increased by over 12%
